Membership and other gifts

Membership allows you to join a team who does not tolerate sexual violence and be counted as someone who believes that we can build a community that does not tolerate sexual assault. Your membership also allows you to be recognized in our quarterly newsletter, recognized at fundraisers and events, receive discounts at many fundraisers and receive an invitation to the yearly membership event.  Donations can be mailed with a donation form to CrossRoads P.O. Make a Sundae – Make a Difference

Your ticket entitles you to choose a handmade pottery bowl to keep and the opportunity to enjoy an ice cream sundae and live entertainment during our annual fall fundraiser. For more information, call 336-228-0813 or email crossroads@crossroadscares.org .

 

Holiday Wreath and Poinsettia Sale

Plan to buy your holiday greenery from us for December decorating – fresh wreaths and garlands from the North Carolina mountains. Order forms(PDF format)  are made available in November, so you can print several and share them with friends. Printed forms can be obtained by calling the office at 336-228-0813. All profit from sales goes to help support the work of CrossRoads.

 

Wine and Beer Tasting Event

A newer event for CrossRoads, this event features wine from all around the world!  The last two events have featured over 60 wine labels and numerous types of craft brews.  The event is usually held in March at Elon University and features live entertainment, auction items, 50/50, heavy hors d’ oevres and tastings of wine and/or brews.

Golf Tournament

The Captain’s Choice style golf tournament is another fresh fundraiser for CrossRoads.  It is held at Quaker Creek Golf Course in Mebane.  The tournament usually takes place in late spring (June).  Registrations forms will be available online for your convenience.

Donations of items are always welcome including snacks, drinks, art supplies, or toys for the Children’s Advocacy Center; office supplies and equipment; books, videos, and other resources for the library; magazine subscriptions, videos, quiet toys, or books for all ages for use in the waiting room.

Crisis Intervention Volunteer

CrossRoads provides the training required in order to be eligible to be on call for our 24-hour crisis line. Your role is as a crisis intervention support person and advocate for anyone calling the line. You can choose to be on call daytime, evenings, and/or weekends, whenever you are available.  Download application here or email volunteercoordinator@crossroadscares.org.

Community Education Volunteer

CrossRoads provides the training required in order to be eligible to present educational curriculums to area middle and high school students. Ideal if you have any free time during the day. Download application here.

Member of the Board of Directors

Volunteers who make up the Board are responsible for overseeing the affairs of the agency. Responsibilities include long-range planning, financial oversight, budgeting, fundraising and public relations, and policy making.

Special Projects Volunteer

There are always things to be done around the office and in various areas such as publicity, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and more. If you have any special skills or just some free time that you would like to share, please let us know.

Bilingual volunteer

We are in special need of bilingual volunteers to assist victims and their families. If you speak both Spanish and English and would like to help, please give us a call.
