Prevention and Community Education

Programs are provided to Alamance County residents and area professionals to increase knowledge and awareness of sexual violence. Presentations are formatted to fit requests and may include:
Programs on communication skills, sexual assault prevention, and information about the agency’s services provided to:
- All seventh, eighth, and nineth grade students in the public and some private schools
- Elon University students, organizations, and selected classes
- Elementary school students in local public schools
Information about agency services provided to:
- Civic and church groups
- Agency fairs sponsored by various community organizations
Professional trainings provided to:
- Seven different law enforcement agencies located in Alamance County
- Other Children’s Advocacy Centers including training seminars and informal mentoring
- Alamance Regional Medical Center
- Alamance Burlington school system personnel
- Alamance Community College including their nursing program and continuing education for teachers
- Residents, students and area professionals interested in becoming either a crisis line or community education volunteer.
